Children’s Requirements

Please dress your child in clothes that they can comfortably paint, play and explore the environment in. While children will be encouraged to use the aprons provided when painting, we cannot guarantee their use.

Each session has a snack break which gives the children an opportunity to sit down and eat with other children and develop their social skills. The children will be served fresh fruit and water.

Due to some children’s allergies, apart from the fruit and water provided, we are a “food free zone”.

Baby Feeding & Nappy Change

Childcare Team Members will feed your baby should it be necessary but with nappy change a Team Member will come and get you to change your baby’s nappy should this be required. However we ask all mothers to make sure that their baby is fed and has a clean nappy on before putting them into childcare.

We do have ample toys available for the children to play with, however should your child wish to bring in their own toy please be aware that childcare team members will endeavor to take care of, but cannot be responsible for such toys.

Daily Routines

During a session your child will generally experience a snack/food time of fruit only, hand washing, toileting, story and music time, group activity, mat time and a variety of art activities. Equipment is also available which encourages fantasy play, gross and fine motor skill development, sharing and taking turns.

All parents have the right to have their concerns heard. Families with concerns or complaints are encouraged to discuss these with the Child Care Supervisors in the first instance.

Complaints which are not resolved to the family’s satisfaction will then be referred to the Management and thereafter, if necessary, the Department of Education & Training.

All written complaints and concerns will be addressed verbally within 24 hours and in writing within 5 working days.

If the complaint is still not dealt with to the family’s satisfaction the Department of Education & Training can be contacted on 8765 5787
